Isaiah 49:6 ... I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, that You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.

DISCIPLESHIP

Discipleship is one of the most blessed ministries that a believer can be involved with, but it is also one of the most neglected areas as well. I have been blessed to be involved with sharing my faith in a variety of settings for 35 years. These settings have included places like Hollywood Boulevard, LA beaches, the Rose Bowl Parade, parks, homes, and laundry mats. One things is always constant in all the people that I’ve talked with is the gross ignorance of the plan of restoration that was originated by Adonai and shared on Earth by Yeshua. It is a great blessing to be able to share these eternal words with people and to assist in their seeing the light of His truth. But equally important is the opportunity to see these souls mature spiritually.

Many people believe that the work of discipleship is over at the point of commitment to Yeshua. The truth is that this is just the beginning. The path to spiritual maturity is a life-long process that is in fact, a tremendous adventure. What could be a greater adventure than discovering the nature and ways of the Most High, who created all things? Not only did He create all things but this magnificent and incomprehensible being wants to have a personal relationship with each and every person on this planet.

Discipleship, put in the simplest terms, is getting to know our Father in all His glory. The role of the person that disciples others, is to guide another person into this knowledge of the Father. They are facilitators that work in conjunction with the Ruach HaKodesh to bring the specific plan that Adonai had for that individual to fruition. Discipleship doesn’t require one to have any particular degree but rather, just the requirement to be able to share the knowledge and personal experiences that they have acquired. Everyone can qualify in this regard. Also, it will take a commitment of time in order for the person being discipled to see the truths of Adonai modeled before them. The benefit of giving this time is the depth of fellowship that you will experience and the joy of walking as your Father desires you to walk.

If you are not afraid to be open and vulnerable about your faith; and you are open to learning and growing as you share your faith; then we invite you to join the ministry of discipleship. We will provide a variety of tools to assist you in this very important ministry. We have short teachings that will help you to give answers to difficult faith questions; we will offer more detailed teachings on faith issues for your spiritual growth and for the spiritual growth of the person being discipled; and we will provide a means to communicate with us regarding any questions that you would like to have answered or to share with others any experiences that you have had in the discipleship process. We all need encouragement in this area so let’s team up together for the glory of our Father.

Blessings in Yeshua,
Steven Goodenough
