Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters A Prayer Song of Songs 3:16 Awake, O north wind,And come, O south! Blow upon my garden, That its spices may flow out. Let my beloved come to his garden And eat its pleasant fruits. As I've been reading throughout the Song of Songs I've come across these little nuggets. This is such a curious book, many have said and written that it is between the church and God, while others claim that it is a true love cry between Solomon and his first wife. I'm not a biblical scholar so I'm not really sure what it is. What I do know is that by reading it we do see a passion and love between a bride and bridegroom! My bridegroom is the Lord God. So I paused this morning and made it my prayer. Then the Lord asked me to share it with you so that you too will make it your prayer. As I bowed my head before Him I prayed. Oh Lord God King of the universe Creator of all things come blow on my garden. Removed the chaff and make more room for You. Let my spices be sweet incense of Thanksgiving and blessings and time well spent with You. So that out of it may flow good fruit. Fruit that You have grown as You work in my garden removing stones and thistles and unpleasant weeds. Though it be painful at times I want my garden to be beautiful so that its incense goes forth before me drawing others into your vineyard. The Northwind is cold blow off the embers. The South is warm let my heart burn for You first and always. Leading me into all truth, here is where I find You working in me. What peace overflows me. What joy it bubbles up inside of me. Knowing that You are in my garden my heart are Spirits akin! How wonderful Your Love, Your Comfort! Blessed be the name of the Lord for ever and ever! Let all the earth rejoice and everything that has breath praise the Lord!
