Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters The Fig Tree Luke 21:29-30, Yeshua Says "Look at the fig tree and all the trees.  When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves that summer is near.  Even so when you see these things happening you know that the kingdom of God is at hand.  Yeshua was reminding us of the prophetic writing in Song of Songs Chapter 2:13 The fig tree puts forth her green figs, And the vines with the tender grapes Give a good smell. What is the picture of the fig tree Israel? Israel became a nation in one day and it is beginning to bear fruit.  Not the kind of fruit that grows on physical trees.  Rather spiritual fruit.  There are many Jews in the land and out of the land who are coming to faith in Yeshua as Messiah!  As we see these things coming we know that His Kingdom and His return is eminent!  The key for us is are we truly ready?  Are our hearts and minds set on Him or are we content to go to services on Sunday or Saturday whichever the case and then carry on the rest of the week because we've given our one day to Him.  Have we truly separated ourselves from the world? Given the choice do we spend three hours a night watching TV or reading the Word of God or studying His ways.  There are so many tools and books that can help us dig deeper but our time is precious.  It's easy to say well I had a hard day at work so I need to sit back and relax.  Meanwhile, Abba is longing to speak to you and I and spend time with us after our long day of work.  He wants to love on is, comfort us, restore us with His rest as we sit at His feet.  Listening to teaching or watching historical DVDs of the holy land and the early church.  Reading a book that will help us with our walk, or simply reading the Word of God and letting the Holy Spirit speak to us. I know myself I am guilty I easily get distracted by the news and the next thing I know so much time has gone away.  It is good to stay informed because we need to be interceding but truly the signs are all around us!  The fig tree has sprouted.
