Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters Who Is My Family So many people I talked I find are estranged from family members because of their faith. Not necessarily their faith in Yeshua but because they choose to do what Yeshua said "if you love me keep my Commandments", John 14:15. In Matthew 12:46-50 Yeshua's family came looking for Him and He declares "who is my mother, my brother and my sister... those who do the will of my Father is My mother, brother and sister". Yeshua repeated the same thing in Mark 3:31-35. So when you find yourself beginning to keep and follow God's Torah as laid out by the Father then you know you are in the right family. The rest of your family may not understand our may not want to understand. You may find yourself not in the popular crowd but that's okay, remember Yeshua said, I did not come to bring peace instead a son will turn against his father and a mother against her daughter Matthew 10:34-37. Matthew 19:29 says, "everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or fathers or mothers or lands for My Name's sake, will receive a hundredfold and inherit eternal life". It doesn't get much clearer than that, God must be first in our lives! The best way to do that is to spend time with Him. Studying His Word spending time sitting at His feet waiting on Him developing that intimate one-on-one relationship that He longs for with each and everyone of us individually. He wants to guide us and lead us into all truth so that we do not stumble and fall. The only way we can do that is by allowing the Holy Spirit to teach us. As the Psalmist says "who is the man that You are even mindful of him", Psalm 8:4. Yet God loves us with such a passion that we cannot understand this side of heaven, so much so, He even gave His very life for us. So if your family rejects you or your friends don't understand and even fellow Christians question you because you've given up going to a big church to Fellowship with a few friends in your home to honor and celebrate Shabbat on a Saturday consider yourself well blessed. For you are doing what Yeshua asked you to! Choose God over man and you will have riches in heaven and eternal life because God's Word is true. You cannot serve two masters, Matthew 6, it's either God or the world. Colossians 2:16, " therefore let no man judge you for what you eat or drink or for your feast days or fast days". Be careful though do not judge them for they do not yet understand instead pray for them and show them love the same way Yeshua did!
