Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters Heart to Heart As I've been mentioning over the last few days, how many ways God has shown us His Heart in so many different ways towards us. As I went on my virtual tour at each stop the Lord showed me these different things my heart welled up within me as I realized just how very much He loves me. He wants His very best for my life, it puts so many Scriptures into perspective. Yes he loves to hear our prayer requests and it seems sometimes I have been guilty of spending all of my time with Him asking for things that I think I need. When all I really need is to simply rest in His presence and allow Him to minister comfort and life to me! This is what His true hearts desire is for me most times. He said in James 4:9, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you". This is all He wants to do sometimes, what we really need is to just sit at His Feet like Mary and allow Him to teach us His ways through the Scripture through His Word. The same way He did when He sat on the side of the hill and taught the crowds. I'm sure those were some of the happiest times for Him. Why do I say that because instead of sending them away He provided physical food. He was just as eager to teach them as they were eager to be taught. Oh that we would be the same today! These people had been with Him for three days and had followed him into an area outside of the city to hear all that He had to say. They were so hungry and so intrigued they left everything even their jobs for three days they were unimportant. They hadn't packed food or extra clothing as we would today. They had found a shepherd the True Shepherd the one who was leading them in truth and understanding feeding them wisdom from above. We know there were children there and women but what I find most amazing is that the Scripture points out the men! I don't think it was because the men were more important. I think the Lord wanted us to see that the average men of that day instead of going and listening to the Pharisees left everything behind to go and hear and follow after Yeshua. We have within us the Holy Spirit who will guide us into all truth if only we to will sit and take the time to search through the Scriptures. What an amazing gift we have been given! Yes I will still bring prayer requests before the very throne room of God and intercede for others. Before I do that though I will first wait and listen to see what I need to learn what the Fathers Heart wants to change in my heart. So that I might grow in my relationship with Him leaving everything else behind drawing close to His Heart like those on the hillside. Then with a grateful heart will I pour out my requests before Him. Then they will be acceptable in His site. He wants me to prosper as my soul prospers! 3 John 1:2. First He wants my soul to prosper! This was one of those Scriptures I was talking about that has a whole new perspective for me! Of coarse He wants us to have good health but it is our soul that is most important because it is for eternity! We live in temporary temples and one day they will all give out and we will get a new body that will last forever! So let us keep our eyes on the future on eternity and what really counts!
