Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters God Says It-He Does It In Exodus Chapter 3:15-22, God says exactly what he's going to do concerning the Israelite children. He tells Moses straight out exactly how things will happen in advance. He says he will bring them out with a strong hand and do mighty wonders in their midst. In vs. 14, God says, "I AM WHO I AM". "Tell the children of Israel I AM has sent me to you". He goes on in verse 15 to declare Who He Is, the God of their fathers. He says, "this is My Name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations". He promised they would plunder the Egyptians when they left and they did! God gave Moses the heads up to get ready He was about to introduce Himself to the world, fulfill the promise that He gave to Abraham concerning his descendents being in bondage in a foreign land. He didn't give him all the exact details just that the time had come for the promise to be fulfilled. When God says He is going to do something we can trust Him and know that He will do it! Only He knows the time and the way He will bring it to pass our job is to simply trust and wait. If you have ever attended a Seder celebration think about this next time. After the reading of each plague that happened in Egypt everyone in attendance always replies, "it would have been enough". Last year I was able to attend two different Seder celebrations one was from a messianic point of view which was joyous the other at a synagogue were something was quite missing. As I sat and looked around the room my heart broke for all these wonderful Jewish people who didn't realize that the final sacrifice, the pure spotless lamb, Yeshua, had already been slain on their behalf. That this should have been part of this celebration that evening. As we prepare again this year Passover will soon be upon us. I thought about the words "it would have been enough". How many times has God blessed me and rescued me and still I ask for more. His ultimate sacrifice that I may enter into the kingdom of light having access to the very throne room of Almighty God most definitely this should be enough! He provides for me food and sustenance, clothing and a warm house, friends who believe the same as I do. He gives us the Sabbath a day to rest in His presence. He gives me bounty so I can give to others! Yet still there are times when I feel there are other things I want or need. When really all I need is to simply rest, trust and know that He holds me in the very palm of His Hands! His plans for my life will surely come to pass, not because of anything I will do, but because "I AM WHO I AM" is faithful. He hears my cries just says He heard the cries of the Israelite children and He remembered His promise to Abraham and He had compassion on His children. He promises that He will draw near to us if we draw near to Him, James 4:8. He wants that one-on-one relationship where He can talk to us, teach us and sometimes just love on us as we sit and bask in His presence. So enter His Gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise, Psalm 100:4!
