Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters Beauty vs. Non-Beauty Still pondering Exodus Chapter 2 I marveled at the fact that the Word of God points out the fact that Moses was beautiful. The fact is this was necessary if he had not been such a beautiful child would Pharaoh's daughter have had such compassion fill her heart? Probably not Egypt is often looked at as a type of the world. The world is obsessed with beauty. Then along comes Yeshua! Isaiah 53:2 says, "... He has no form of comeliness; and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him". It was necessary for Moses to be beautiful outwardly to start with to put him in the position that God needed him to be in. Yet Yeshua did not need the outward beauty to attract disciples and believers to follow Him. He had an inward beauty and He was filled with love and He gave it away freely! He was filled with the Holy Spirit and walked and talked with authority. Something that had long been missing there was far more to Him than just appearances! As the saying goes appearances can deceive us. In the case of Moses, Pharaoh was afraid of a deliverer so much so that he had all the baby boys two years old and younger murdered. Moses escaped the slaughter because of his mothers faith and because of his beauty that attracted Pharaoh's daughter to have compassion on the child. If Moses had been like Yeshua and had no form of comeliness and there was no beauty, would Pharaoh's daughter have found the same compassion for the child? I don't think so to her it would have just been another Hebrew child. Of course that's just my opinion. Fast-forward to the ultimate Deliverer Yeshua HaMashiach born into a simple household. Yet still the household of David. So what was it that attracted the attention of all the Jews to this man? It was His great Love for all people. It was His Patience. It was His Compassion for the people. He went about to the poor and needy the sinners and tax collectors. The ones who were condemned by the Pharisees and Sadducees of their day in who were puffed up and proud of their positions. Unapproachable and putting heavy burdens on the people adding to the Torah. Many of the common people knew God's Word they were raised from the time they were born in it. Yet when they go to synagogue on Shabbat more was added to them. So that many lost hope feeling they could never lived up to these standards or they were not worthy. Yeshua's disciples were common unlearned men according to the Pharisees. But according to Yeshua they were teachable! Being unlearned meant they were able to be taught they had not learned the ways of the Pharisees and Sadducees. How wonderful they to were the least likely to be chosen. Yet they went on after the resurrection of Yeshua to do great and mighty deeds in His Name! So do not be surprised when the Lord calls you to do something for Him! It may seem small in your eyes but it may be something great in His Kingdom! All He wants are willing and obedient heart's to show Love to a lost and dying world.
B'Shem Yeshua Hamashiach, Amen In His Love, Theresa
